Rawiri Waititi (Te Whanau a Apanui, Ngati Porou) hosts this one-hour programme that will inform whanau on the vast kaupapa and initiatives out West in Waipareira Country.

Rawiri’s background as an entertainer, composer and performer allows him to share with listeners an eclectic array of Musical genres. Whether it be the melodious sounds of our very own Maori Manu Tioriori to the classic hits of the more contemporary sounds of today.

To ensure you have your finger on the pulse at all times.Rawiri will conduct regular interviews with various leaders and whanau within Te Whanau O Waipareira Trust and Community.

Rawiri is a strong advocate for Maori development in West Auckland and Nationally across all sectors.RWaititi.gif

Rawiri is a fluent speaker of Te Reo Maori. He is an orator, singer, composer and performer of kapahaka and has performed atregional, national and international events and festivals. He is sought after for his skills as a compere and master of ceremonies for all occasions. He was also a finalist on the inaugural Maori hit singing show Homai Te Pakipaki.

Rawiri has worked extensively in the Education System at Secondary and Tertiary level. He has comprehensive experience within Libraries and Archives and the Creative Arts Sector.

Rawiri has significant experience at governance level in both Maori and mainstream organisations, in the public and private sectors.
