Meremere Tu Ahiahi is a daily one–hour, evening current affairs programme totally in Te Reo Māori.

Kingi Taurua (Ngapuhi) regularly hosts Meremere Tu Ahiahi which has an emphasis on providing a Māori perspective on national and global issues from Te Ao Māori while maintaining a traditional Maori world view.
Meremere Tu Ahiahi delivers a current affairs service focused on showcasing native language speakers, with the intention to promote an example of the kind of language speakers of Te reo, who listen in to Meremere, could aspire too.

Meremere Tu Ahiahi and its host, Kingi Taurua have received numerous radio accolades for Māori Language broadcast excellence, including Best Māori Language programme and Best Māori Language Broadcaster for the Māori Media Awards as well as being a past finalist in the NZ Radio awards.
